The A220 commercial aircraft Programme is looking for a Maintenance Program Manager to join our Maintenance program management team based in Mirabel (Québec, Canada), where you will work jointly with various Airbus teams such as but not limited to the Airframe structure & System Design engineering team, the In-Service repair engineering team, The A220 program office team and the Airworthiness, reliability & safety teams.

You will be part of the Maintenance program management team, directly reporting to the head of maintenance program management. You will be responsible for developing a consistent and cost effective maintenance program of new airframe structure and/or System designs or improvements of the latter on the A220 commercial aircraft Programme.

The team organization is established to promote cross-collaboration autonomously, supporting each other and learning collectively.

Your strategic role as Maintenance program manager will be to ensure the optimization and delivery of maintenance programs for our current aircraft, while also playing a key part in the development of programs for future aircraft. You will be at the heart of synchronizing scheduled maintenance documentation and its continuous improvement. You will also be a major player in defining the fundamental principles of future maintenance programs, working closely with various internal and external stakeholders.

Your challenges:

  • Co-Chairing the A220 Industry Steering Committee (ISC)
  • Defining, Scheduling, preparing and coordinating the ISC forum with operators, suppliers, airworthiness authorities, Airbus Maintenance program management team and the other Airbus departments,
  • Controlling the flow and level of discussions on any given topic during the ISC forum.
  • Preparing the Maintenance Review Board Report (MRBR) Proposal for submission to the Airworthiness authorities,
  • Arranging aircraft familiarization and MSG-3 analysis procedural training for all Maintenance working groups (MWG) and the ISC.
  • Assuring effective and efficient communication between the MWG, the ISC and the Maintenance Review Board (MRB).
  • Following the alignment of Maintenance working groups (MWG) activities with the ISC decisions in coordination with the MWG co-chairs.
  • Ensuring regular communication with the MRB chairs (airworthiness authorities) to guarantee the success of the MWG and ISC forums.
  • Organizing, preparing and coordinating periodic reviews with the MRB chairs.
  • Coordinating with maintenance engineering experts to identify, prepare, and present to the ISC forum any maintenance program policy, regulation, and procedure updates in the Policy and Procedures Handbook (PPH) as well as the maintenance program impacts.
  • Ensuring synchronization, consistency, and completeness of Maintenance Engineering Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA): MRBR - AWL- CMP -MPD, including the full set of maintenance procedures (AMP and NDT).
  • Supporting risk management and mitigation actions for ICA completeness.
  • Overseeing continuous monitoring of design changes (including future program development), in-service issues impact, and new technologies/regulations/policies impact on Maintenance Engineering ICA to ensure constant update and improvement.
  • Ensuring deliverables are produced on time and in accordance with guidelines.
  • Following up on maintenance program process compliance with the support of the Maintenance program Manager.
  • Supporting the preparation of the MWG (e.g., dry runs) upon request of the MWG co-chairs or Maintenance program Manager.
  • Participating and supporting any meeting with A220 customers in relation to maintenance program topics.
  • Attending Airbus MPM meetings with all other Maintenance Program Managers (MPM) from legacy Airbus programmes to ensure consistency across all Airbus programmes.
  • Contributing to billable service related to scheduled maintenance (e.g., preparation of clock reset package and clock reset declaration support).

Your profile:

  • Graduate with a Bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in commercial aviation maintenance in air flight operations/MRO and in maintenance environment.
  • Solid knowledge in aeronautical structure and systems (experience working on different ATA chapters & sections on commercial aircraft).
  • Strong project management skills and mindset - Project Management Certification is an asset.
  • Very customer-oriented, quick learner, adaptable, and team player.
  • Excellent presentation skills and professional attitude.
  • Strong coordination and interpersonal skills to interact with customers, partners, airworthiness authorities, and other Airbus departments.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Experience working in a transnational environment.
  • Good general knowledge of maintenance engineering concepts, including systems, propulsion, structure, zones, EWIS, and L/HIRF, as well as continued airworthiness regulations applicable to modern civil aircraft.
  • Proficiency in standard Google tools mandatory for the position. Comfortable with digital solutions.
  • Minimum language skills: negotiation level in English, beginner level in French.

As this position requires regular business travel, you must be available and willing to fulfill these travel commitments.
