Summary of responsibilities

  • Perform all avionics-related activities on aircraft as requested by the client, both in the hangar and on the ramp.
  • Act as a lead on major aircraft inspection and modification projects and be responsible for supervising and guiding work performed by assigned junior technicians and/or apprentices.
  • Ensure that all aircraft paperwork is properly completed.
  • Ensure that each component installed on the aircraft is certified.
  • Carry out the tasks and responsibilities described in the Avionics Service Control Manual and ensure compliance with Transport Canada standard regulations.
  • Participate in training courses as assigned by management.
  • Adhere to the SMS (Safety Management System) policy.
  • Maintain and ensure a clean and safe work environment at all times.
  • Assist with other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Required training and competencies

  • Valid Transport Canada Category E licence required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience.
  • Experience working on business aircraft considered an asset.
  • Ability to work under pressure with strong organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail; positive attitude; good team spirit.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite and other computer applications.
  • Flexibility to work assigned shifts (weekends/nights).

Education

  • Diploma as an Aircraft Maintenance Technician and/or Avionics technician, or equivalent.
