Responsibilities summary:

  • Effectively perform all avionics-related activities on aircraft as requested by the client, whether in the hangar or on the ramp;
  • Act as “lead” on major aircraft inspection and modification projects and be responsible for supervising and guiding the work performed by junior technicians and/or apprentices assigned to these projects;
  • Ensure that all aircraft documents are duly completed;
  • Ensure that each component installed on the aircraft is certified;
  • Perform the duties and responsibilities described in the Avionics Service Control Manual and ensure compliance with standard Transport Canada regulations;
  • Participate in training courses as assigned by management;
  • Comply with the SMS “Safety Management System” policy;
  • Maintain and ensure a clean and safe work environment at all times;
  • Assist in all other related tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Required training and skills:

  • Valid Transport Canada Category E license mandatory;
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience;
  • Experience working on business aircraft, considered an asset;
  • Ability to work under pressure, demonstrating strong organizational skills;
  • Attention to detail; positive attitude; good team spirit;
  • Strong communication skills;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other computer applications;
  • Flexibility to work assigned shift (weekend/night).

Education:

  • Aircraft Maintenance Technician/Avionics diploma or equivalent.
