Summary of responsibilities

  • Perform all avionics-related activities on aircraft efficiently as requested by the client, either in the hangar or on the ramp;
  • Act as a lead on major aircraft inspection and modification projects and be responsible for supervising and guiding the work performed by junior technicians and/or apprentices assigned to those projects;
  • Ensure that all aircraft documentation is properly completed;
  • Ensure that each component installed on aircraft is certified;
  • Carry out the tasks and responsibilities described in the Avionics Service Control Manual and ensure compliance with Transport Canada standard regulations;
  • Attend training courses as assigned by management;
  • Adhere to the SMS (Safety Management System) policy;
  • Maintain and ensure a clean and safe work environment at all times;
  • Assist with any other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications and required skills

  • Valid Transport Canada Category E licence;
  • A minimum of five (5) years' experience in a related role;
  • Experience working with corporate-type aircraft is an asset;
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work under pressure;
  • Attention to detail; positive attitude; strong team spirit; good communication skills;
  • Flexible to work assigned shifts (weekends/nights).

Education

  • Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance / Avionics Technology or equivalent
