SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Efficiently perform all avionics-related activities on aircraft as requested by the client, either in the hangar or on the ramp.
- Act as the lead on major aircraft inspection and modification projects and be responsible for supervising and guiding the work performed by junior technicians and/or apprentices assigned to these projects.
- Ensure that all aircraft documentation is duly completed.
- Ensure that each component installed on the aircraft is certified.
- Carry out the tasks and responsibilities described in the Avionics Service Control Manual and ensure compliance with Transport Canada standard regulations.
- Attend training courses as assigned by management.
- Comply with the SMS (Safety Management System) policy.
- Maintain and ensure a clean and safe work environment at all times.
- Assist with any other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Valid Transport Canada Category E license.
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience in a related position.
- Experience working with corporate-type aircraft is an asset.
- Good organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Attention to detail; positive attitude; strong team spirit; good communication skills.
- Flexible to work assigned shifts (weekends/nights).
EDUCATION:
- Diploma in aircraft maintenance/avionics technician or equivalent.
