SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Effectively perform all avionics-related activities on aircraft as requested by the client, both in the hangar and on the ramp;
  • Act as “lead” on major aircraft inspection and modification projects and be responsible for supervising and guiding the work performed by junior technicians and/or apprentices assigned to these projects;
  • Ensure all aircraft documentation is duly completed;
  • Ensure that each component installed on the aircraft is certified;
  • Carry out the duties and responsibilities described in the Avionics Service Control Manual and ensure compliance with standard Transport Canada regulations;
  • Participate in training courses as assigned by management;
  • Comply with the SMS “Safety Management System” policy;
  • Maintain and ensure a clean and safe working environment at all times;
  • Assist with all other related tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Valid Transport Canada Category E license;
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in a related position;
  • Work experience with corporate aircraft types is an asset;
  • Good organizational skills and ability to work under pressure;
  • Attention to detail; Have a positive attitude; Good team spirit; Good communication skills.
  • Flexible to work assigned shifts. (weekend/night)

EDUCATION:

  • Aircraft Maintenance/Avionics Technician Diploma or equivalent
