Company Description

Be part of the journey!

Become a pilot at Air Transat through the Ascension Academy, fly to Phoenix, Arizona and complete the training program developed in partnership with CAE.

Job Description

Your training program

  • The Ascension Academy is open to anyone with little or no flight experience, regardless of their professional or educational background. Whether you have always dreamed of flying or want to make a career change, this training can change your life and allow you to pilot the aircraft in our fleet.
  • The training program was developed in partnership with CAE, a global leader in pilot training and a long-standing partner.
  • Selection for the program guarantees you a job at Air Transat upon completion of the training, conditional on passing. In just a few months, the program will allow you to become a pilot and take to the skies with us.
  • Financing mechanisms are offered by banking institutions.

Phoenix Campus

  • The Ascension Academy lasts approximately 18 months. Training will take place primarily at CAE's Falcon Field airport facilities in Phoenix, Arizona, in a modern, innovative campus.

Upon hiring

  • Your training will allow you to operate the aircraft in our fleet as soon as the program ends.
  • You will fly next-generation aircraft, among the most fuel-efficient in their category (A330 and A321), and work with the industry's latest technological tools.
  • You will fly to prime international destinations. You will quickly make transatlantic flights to Europe, the Caribbean, Central America, or the US East and West coasts.

Qualifications

Make sure you are eligible: Canadian citizens or permanent residents with little or no flight experience are encouraged to apply. If you have already started flight lessons, you cannot register for this program if you have obtained a qualification or certificate other than a private pilot certificate. Candidates must be at least 18 years old at the start of training, hold a high school diploma, and have a command of English equivalent to ICAO Level 4.

Start by answering a few questions about your application. As you progress through the process, an assessment and interviews will be required. If selected, a job offer letter will be provided before your training begins. After registration, you will begin your training at the CAE Phoenix flight school under the Arizona sun in the United States.

Please note that you must send us a copy of your passport along with your resume, otherwise your application will not be considered and you will not be contacted by our team.

Please also send us the transcript of your last completed training program if you studied less than 5 years ago.
