Your training program

• The Ascension Academy is open to anyone with little or no flight experience, regardless of their professional or educational background. Whether you've always dreamed of flying or want to change careers, this training can help you change your life and pilot our fleet's aircraft. Learn more.
• The training program is developed in partnership with CAE, a global leader in pilot training and a long-standing partner.
• Selection for the program guarantees employment with Air Transat upon completion of the training, conditional on successful completion. In a few months, the program will allow you to become a pilot and fly our wings.

Phoenix Campus

• The Ascension Academy lasts approximately 18 months. Training will primarily take place at CAE's Falcon Field airport facilities in Phoenix, Arizona, in a modern and innovative campus. Learn more

Upon hiring

• Your training will allow you to operate our fleet's aircraft immediately after the program.
• You will pilot the latest generation aircraft, among the most energy-efficient in their category (A330 and A321) and you will work with the latest technological tools in the industry.
• You will fly to international destinations of choice. You will quickly complete transatlantic flights to Europe, the Caribbean, Central America or the American East and West coasts.

Qualifications

Make sure you are eligible: Canadian citizens or permanent residents with little or no flight experience are encouraged to apply. If you have already started flight courses, you cannot register for this program if you have obtained a qualification or certificate other than the private pilot certificate. Candidates must be at least 18 years old at the start of training, hold a high school diploma and have English proficiency equivalent to ICAO level 4.

Start by answering a few questions about your application. As you progress through the process, an assessment and interviews will be required. If you are selected, a letter of employment promise will be given to you before the start of your training. After registering, you will begin your training at the CAE Phoenix flight school, under the Arizona sun, in the United States.
