Job Summary:

Under the supervision of the Purchasing Supervisor, the General Procurement Buyer will have the main responsibilities of managing speedshop purchases for several commodities at the aircraft level. They are also responsible for maintaining good relationships with various North American suppliers and being in constant communication with the supply chain and headquarters purchasing located in France.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to sourcing activities, manage calls for tenders according to defined processes and negotiate contracts to obtain the best purchasing conditions;

  • Manage and negotiate contracts from A to Z, ensuring their follow-up with suppliers and internal partners;

  • Manage daily relations with suppliers and projects to optimize value, minimize total cost of ownership (TCO) and reduce risks;

  • Track and complete key performance indicators (KPIs) and account for financial impacts and billing disputes;

  • Actively participate in strategic meetings;

  • Contribute to sourcing activities (search for new suppliers and obtain documents/information for supplier account creation in One Supplier);

  • All other tasks related to the position.

Profile sought

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, administration (or equivalent);

  • Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment;

  • Mastery of computer tools (Google Suite, SAP);

  • Collaborative and communicative approach, ability to interact with different departments;

  • Strong negotiation, contracting and project management skills;

  • Excellent command of spoken and written French and English, due to interactions with international suppliers and the drafting of contracts in English.
