Job description

  • Support procurement activities, manage requests for proposals and negotiate contracts to obtain the best purchasing terms in accordance with company requirements, with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor contracts with suppliers and company stakeholders during innovation, development, serial production and sustainment phases to ensure full application of contractual terms throughout the contract life cycle and that suppliers meet expected performance levels for logistics, support, quality and cost.
  • Manage day-to-day relationships with suppliers and ongoing projects to optimize customer value while minimizing total cost of ownership and risks.
  • Participate in cross-functional and cross-division teams throughout the bidding, negotiation, contracting and contract life-cycle management phases.
  • This role requires awareness of potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, which are essential to the company's success, reputation and sustainable growth.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, procurement, commerce or a related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in strategic sourcing, purchasing or supply chain management, ideally in an aerospace environment.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes, contract management, supplier relationship management and risk management.
  • Comfortable in a multidisciplinary environment and effective collaboration with engineering, quality, logistics, finance and program management teams.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Known for organizational skills, autonomy, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Experience with SAP or another ERP system is an asset.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in French and English.
  • Experience in aerospace, aviation or manufacturing is a significant asset.
