What are your contributions to the team?
• Develop new supply sources and build strategic business relationships.
• Develop negotiation strategies.
• Lead and participate in commodity development by managing projects that require the preparation of business plans.
• Lead, develop, and execute commodity strategies and provide senior management with project and negotiation status updates.
• Identify, analyze, and realize cost-reduction opportunities.
• Create and maintain formal internal and external networks.
• Act as a single point of contact with suppliers for new business opportunities.
• Provide support to sites and business units regarding global sourcing strategies.
• Coordinate and lead the negotiation of contractual claims with suppliers to support production issues in business units.
• Support business units in enforcing contractual clauses against substantial breaches.
• Conduct contract negotiations with suppliers.
• Ensure contracts are maintained in accordance with our business requirements.
• Coordinate the activities of supply chain agents in relation to balanced scorecard objectives, master plans, and detailed plans.
• Support supply chain agents in contract negotiations, commercial requests, product changes, and contract amendments.
• Participate in the governance of cost-reduction projects and properly maintain the performance indicators for these projects.
How to thrive in this role?
- You hold a bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, law, or an equivalent field.
- You possess at least two (2) years of professional experience. More years of experience is an asset.
- You have experience in the aerospace industry and/or in a manufacturing environment and/or in program management, in a commercial role; this is an asset.
- You possess excellent negotiation skills as well as experience in project management.
- You have a strong attention to detail, are rigorous, and are determined to meet deadlines.
- You are an excellent team player, recognized for your influential leadership (without hierarchical authority), your innovative spirit, and your ability to mobilize teams.
- You possess solid skills in operations management and financial management.
- You are comfortable with complex technical subjects and have knowledge of legal terminology or contract interpretation.
- You are proficient in MS Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- You are able to work effectively in French and English on a daily basis.
- You are able to work on-site in one of our Montreal facilities at least two (2) days a week, and sometimes more, in accordance with the applicable policy.
