We are looking for a Junior Buyer Planner within our satellite systems team at our Montreal office.

Role:
Participates in material requirements planning, negotiation, and is responsible for purchasing simple goods and services, taking into account cost, quality, and delivery within defined limits and in accordance with identified decision-making levels. Able to purchase overhead items and provide support for building service purchases and capital expenditures previously negotiated by a more experienced buyer. Receives specific assignments with regular supervision.
Responsibility/Tasks:
- Support and participate in price and terms negotiation with suppliers.
- Analyze received bids and place orders within established authorization limits.
- Perform follow-up activities for purchase orders and shipment tracking information to ensure on-time deliveries.
- Proactively report material availability issues.
- Support and participate in the preparation and communication of supply forecasts or plans to suppliers.
- Resolve receiving and invoicing anomalies.
- Support activities for the sub-contracts department.
- Support activities of more experienced buyers.
- Assist in the qualification and development of new suppliers.
- Review monthly supplier performance and define the corrective action plan, if applicable.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a business-related field
- Registration with AGGA or current or completed certification will be considered an asset. A combination of other relevant experience/education may be considered.
- Up to 2 years of related experience
- Demonstrate good organizational skills and the ability to adapt to change.
- Sense of urgency
- Basic problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Commitment and responsibility
- Basic analysis and negotiation techniques
- Good communication skills
- Customer orientation (internal and external)
- Essential knowledge of French and English, both oral and written.

Comments/Special Considerations:
Successful candidates must obtain and maintain a reliability status security clearance and successfully pass the security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and ITAR.
