Permanent full-time position (37.5 hours)

As a Senior Systems Administrator at Rheinmetall Canada, your primary challenge will be to ensure advanced management of the organization's systems, servers and platform environment, while acting as a technical reference for the administration team and supporting CMMC and CP‑CSC compliance initiatives at the operational level.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Operate and optimize the server environment (Windows/Linux), identity (AD/Entra ID), backups and patching mechanisms.
  • Act as a technical lead and mentor for other administrators and IT technicians.
  • Provide operational backup for the IT manager as needed: team coordination, priority tracking and escalation management.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of development environments for engineering teams and the DevSecOps pipeline.
  • Manage Microsoft 365 platforms and endpoint management (Intune/Defender) with an advanced level of expertise.
  • Support the execution of operational compliance controls related to CMMC, CP‑CSC and Bill 25.
  • Document system configurations, procedures and architectures, and ensure their ongoing updating.
  • Collaborate with the solutions architect on the integration of new platforms and cloud migrations.

QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD POSSESS

The skills we are looking for:

  • Degree in computer science, software engineering or a related field.
  • 5 to 8 years of experience in Windows/Linux systems administration, including at least 2 years in a senior or advanced role.
  • Proficiency in Active Directory, Entra ID, Microsoft 365, Intune and endpoint security tools (Defender for Endpoint).
  • Experience in DevSecOps environments and CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions) is an asset.
  • Proven skills in technical leadership, mentoring and priority management.
  • Knowledge of compliance frameworks (CMMC, CP‑CSC, ISO 27001) and the ability to operationalize controls.
  • Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Bilingual (French/English).
