About the role

As an integral part of the subcontract management team, the Subcontracts Administrator performs the following tasks:

  • Draft subcontract terms and conditions
  • Draft collaboration agreements, memoranda of understanding and non-disclosure agreements, and process those agreements for approval
  • Prepare requests for proposals (RFPs)
  • Manage competitive bidding processes, evaluate proposals and support source selection
  • Lead negotiations with subcontractors and, through to execution, manage subcontract-related documentation including drafting correspondence, tracking deliverables, processing invoices and maintaining the contract file

What you bring to the role

  • Bachelor's degree in commerce or business administration
  • Five to seven years' experience in subcontract administration or procurement within the defence sector
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and strong negotiation ability
  • Knowledge of Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) procurement regulations and clauses
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience managing a subcontract in the construction sector is an asset

Language requirements (Québec)

Knowledge of English is required for this position so the candidate can perform all duties. This role requires daily communication with a virtual team outside of Québec. The candidate will also need to communicate with various members of the organization, clients and suppliers located outside Canada. For engineering positions, the candidate must also be able to read or edit technical documents from our main clients and draft technical documents for those clients.
