About the role

As an integral part of the subcontracts management team, the Subcontracts Administrator performs the following duties:

  • Draft subcontract terms and conditions
  • Draft collaboration agreements, memoranda of understanding and non-disclosure agreements, and process agreements for approval
  • Prepare requests for proposals (RFPs)
  • Conduct competitive tendering, evaluate proposals and support source selection
  • Lead negotiations with subcontractors and, through to execution, manage subcontract documentation including correspondence drafting, tracking deliverables, processing invoices and maintaining the contract file

What you bring to the role

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce or Business Administration
  • Five to seven years' experience in subcontracts administration or procurement within the defence sector
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and negotiation ability
  • Knowledge of Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) procurement regulations and clauses
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Experience managing a subcontract in the construction sector is considered an asset

Language requirements in Quebec

Knowledge of English is required for this position so the candidate can perform all job functions. This role requires daily communication with a virtual team outside Quebec. The candidate will also need to communicate with various members of the organization, clients and suppliers located outside Canada. For engineering positions, the candidate must also be able to read or modify technical documents from our primary clients and prepare technical documents for those clients.
