Traffic Area Agent (Ramp Attendant) - Airports - Full Time

Starting salary: $23.36/hour - Up to $38.15 after 8 years of continuous service, as provided in the applicable collective agreement.

Shift premiums: Evening shift - $1.00 per hour worked between 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. Night shift - $1.50 per hour worked between 11 p.m. and 6 a.m.

Job requirements

In our work environment, teamwork is essential to ensure the smooth operation of our aircraft fleet. This is physically demanding work that involves staying in movement airside and in the baggage room. As our operations take place year-round, you must be ready to work in all weather conditions.

To join us, you must:

• Hold a valid driver's license - you will need to drive heavy equipment airside;
• Be able to repeatedly lift 32 kg (70 lb) loads;
• Pass a medical evaluation, including a drug and alcohol screening test;
• Be available to take and successfully complete a paid five to seven-week full-time training program;
• Be available to work rotating shifts over a 24-hour period (including weekends and holidays);
• Pay attention to safety and security;
• Demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team, every day.
• Show punctuality and reliability to support the overall success of the team in a fast-paced environment.
• Be able to obtain and maintain any applicable transport security clearance, as well as additional authorizations (please consult the Transport Canada website for more details)
