Main responsibilities
- Manage issuance of purchase orders and administration of related activities (receipts, snags, invoices, inventory, safety stock parameters, etc.).
- Validate requirements and ensure execution of purchase order deliveries.
- Analyze delivery delays and prioritize supplier shipments to minimize impact on the production chain.
- Manage short- and long-term operational planning (retrofit, shortages, etc.).
- Monitor supply chain performance (receiving, stores, transport, shipping, etc.) and manage variances.
- Coordinate supplier interactions (on-site or remote visits) with cross-functional teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Build strong relationships with internal teams such as Supply Chain Quality Management (SCQM), Compliance Management (CM), engineering, methods, quality, production and strategic sourcing.
- Manage non-conforming parts (repairs, returns, etc.).
- Provide visibility of inventory levels. Obtain and track supplier action plans to maintain optimal levels.
- Define recovery plans with production teams if necessary. Understand the overall Value Stream Mapping (VSM) of the respective products.
Candidate profile
As an ideal candidate:
- You hold a bachelor's degree in operations management or industrial management OR a college diploma in similar fields, with two (2) years or more of experience.
- You have strong priority management and multitasking skills.
- You have good knowledge of software such as Excel, Google Suite, etc.
- You have knowledge of and experience with SAP.
- APICS certification is an asset.
- You are bilingual (French and English, written and spoken).
- You have 2 to 5 years of experience in a similar role.
