Ramp Agent

Description

Under the supervision of the Ramp Supervisor, the incumbent acts as a Ramp Agent. He/she performs the work of a ramp agent and provides a safe, professional, courteous and polite experience to passengers and crew members.

Description of main tasks:

• Professionally, courteously and respectfully greet passengers and crew members;
• Always comply with the application of safety rules on the ramp and in the hangar;
• Prepare the aircraft for flight and customer acceptance;
• Guide aircraft during arrivals and departures, using hand signals;
• Tow aircraft;
• Refuel aircraft;
• Loading/unloading;
• Passenger/crew transportation;
• Other related tasks.

Conditions:

• Shift from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. or on call depending on operational needs

• Day or night shift between Monday and Sunday

Requirements

Required qualifications

• Must hold a Canadian work permit at a minimum;
• Hold a valid driver's license (class 5);
• Class 3 driver's license (an asset);
• Hold a “D” Airside Vehicle Operator's Permit (AVOP), or be willing to obtain it within the first 3 months of employment;
• Eligible for a Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC);
• Bilingual (spoken French and English);
• Experience in the aviation field (an asset);
• High school diploma or equivalent;
• Ability to work in different climatic conditions (hot and cold);
• Be able to lift heavy objects (50 lbs).
