Description
Under the supervision of the Ramp Supervisor, the incumbent acts as a Ramp Agent. He/she performs the work of a ramp agent and provides a safe, professional, courteous and polite experience to passengers and crew members.
Description of main tasks:
- Professionally, courteously and respectfully greet passengers and crew members;
- Always comply with the application of safety rules on the ramp and in the hangar;
- Prepare the aircraft for flight and customer acceptance;
- Guide aircraft during arrivals and departures, using hand signals;
- Tow aircraft;
- Refuel aircraft;
- Loading/unloading;
- Passenger/crew transportation;
- Other related tasks.
Conditions:
- Shift from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. or on call depending on operational needs
- Day or night shift between Monday and Sunday
Requirements
Required qualifications
- Must hold a Canadian work permit at a minimum;
- Hold a valid driver's license (class 5);
- Class 3 driver's license (an asset);
- Hold a “D” Airside Vehicle Operator's Permit (AVOP), or be willing to obtain it within the first 3 months of employment;
- Eligible for a Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC);
- Bilingual (spoken French and English);
- Experience in the aviation field (an asset);
- High school diploma or equivalent;
- Ability to work in different climatic conditions (hot and cold);
- Be able to lift heavy objects (50 lbs).
