Reporting to the ramp supervisor, the incumbent in this position acts as a ramp agent. They perform ramp agent work and provide a safe, professional, courteous, and polite experience to passengers and crew members.
Main duties description:
- Welcome passengers and crew members in a professional, courteous, and respectful manner;
- Comply at all times with safety rules on the ramp and in the hangar;
- Prepare the aircraft for flight and customer acceptance;
- Guide aircraft during arrivals and departures using hand signals;
- Tow aircraft;
- Refuel aircraft;
- Loading/unloading;
- Transport of passengers/crew members;
- Other related tasks.
Conditions:
- Shift from 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM or on-call according to operational needs
- Day or night shift between Monday and Sunday
Required Qualifications
- Must hold at least a Canadian work permit;
- Hold a valid driver's license (Class 5);
- Class 3 driver's license (an asset);
- Hold a Restricted Area Pass "D" (AVOP), or be ready to obtain it within the first 3 months of employment;
- Eligible to obtain a Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC);
- Bilingual (spoken French and English);
- Experience in the aviation field (an asset);
- High school diploma or equivalent;
- Ability to work in various weather conditions (hot and cold);
- Able to lift heavy objects (50 lbs).
