Job Description

• Lead visits to key suppliers to analyze performance issues and coordinate improvement strategies, notably purchase order (PO) alignment, process improvement, and quality system enhancement.
• Accelerate the processing of all critical parts at critical suppliers to eliminate all bottlenecks and ensure no interruptions in the production chain.
• Work with the supplier to establish a PO return-to-compliance plan using harmonized lines of balance and ensure daily follow-up.
• Align with all key internal stakeholders and prepare a clear mandate for supplier intervention, regularly follow up on the mandate, and ensure a smooth transition.
• Identify supplier improvement and risk reduction opportunities among key suppliers and manage these improvement activities.
• Drive the execution of supplier performance improvement plans and collaborate with internal and external partners to seek solutions and successfully execute action plans.
• Work in close collaboration with stakeholders from Purchasing, Quality, and Operations departments to create supplier development plans focused on supplier quality, delivery, capacity, and process capability.

• Communicate effectively with internal and external groups and ensure appropriate escalation of issues.
• Conduct a very thorough on-site assessment of the supplier's capacity and competencies and establish a clear action plan to correct all gaps.
• Coordinate your own business travel by making reservations, follow-ups, expense reimbursement requests, and financial verifications.

Profile sought

• You hold a bachelor's degree in administration, industrial engineering, operations management, or equivalent experience.
• You possess a minimum of ten (10) years of experience.
• You must be willing to travel up to 70% of the time.
• You possess solid knowledge and experience in manufacturing and production.
• You have experience with lower-tier suppliers (subcontractors).
• You are extremely autonomous and able to work with new suppliers with minimal information.
• You have experience in planning and coordinating multi-sector projects.
• Your IT skills in MS PowerPoint, Excel, and Word are at an expert level.
• You are able to multitask and prioritize.
• You have a strong sense of ethics and are customer-focused.
• You possess good analytical, planning, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of operational and financial management is an asset.
