Location: Montreal, QC, Canada (on-site)

Starting pay: $18.15/hour for the part-time position

Service: Canadian Airports & Strategy - Customer Experience

Category: Unionized (IAMAW)

Position type: Part-time

Shift premiums: Evening shift - $0.50 per hour worked between 6:00 PM and 11:00 PM. Night shift - $1.00 per hour worked between 11:00 PM and 6:00 AM.

No experience required.

What will you do today?

As part of a dynamic team, you will work with other team members to ensure aircraft are loaded and unloaded efficiently while maintaining safety and on-time operations. You may perform related baggage functions, handle connecting passenger baggage, or work airside to complete the many tasks required for successful operations.

Qualifications

Position requirements

Teamwork is essential in our workplace to ensure smooth operations of our fleet. This is physically demanding work that requires continuous movement on the ramp and in the baggage hall. As our operations run year-round, you must be prepared to work in all weather conditions.

  • Hold a valid driver's license - you will be required to operate heavy ramp equipment;
  • Be able to repeatedly lift loads of 32 kg (70 lb);
  • Pass a medical assessment, including drug and alcohol screening;
  • Be available to attend and successfully complete a paid, full-time training program of five to seven weeks;
  • Be available to work rotating 24-hour shift schedules (including weekends and holidays);
  • Demonstrate attention to security and safety;
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team every day;
  • Be punctual and reliable to support overall team success in a fast-paced environment;
  • Be able to obtain and maintain any applicable transportation security clearances and additional authorizations (please consult Transport Canada for details);
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the country where the position is offered at the time of application. It is the candidate's responsibility to obtain any required work permits/visas or other authorizations.
