Starting salary: $17.30 per hour for full-time positions

Employment type: full-time

Shift premiums: Evening shift – $0.50 per hour worked between 6:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. Night shift – $1.00 per hour worked between 11:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.

No experience is required.

What will you do today?

Imagine starting your day on the tarmac fueling an aircraft, filling its water tank, loading cargo, or pushing back an Airbus. Imagine how fast you have to load bags for a connecting flight within a very tight turnaround time. Our ramp agent team keeps Air Canada moving, ensuring our planes are ready to depart safely and on time.

Qualifications

Job Requirements

In our work environment, teamwork is essential to ensure the smooth operation of our fleet. This is physically demanding work that involves staying in motion airside and in the baggage room. Since our operations take place year-round, you must be prepared to work in all weather conditions.

To join us, you must:

  • Be eligible to work in Canada;
  • Hold a valid driver's license – you will need to drive heavy equipment airside;
  • Be able to repeatedly lift loads of 32 kg (70 lb);
  • Pass a medical evaluation, including a drug and alcohol test;
  • Be available to attend and successfully complete a five-to-seven-week full-time paid training program;
  • Be available to work rotating shifts over a 24-hour period (including weekends and holidays);
  • Be able to obtain and maintain all applicable transport security clearances, as well as any additional authorizations (please check the Transport Canada website for details);
  • Pay attention to safety and security;
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team, every day.
