Location: Montreal, QC, Canada (On-site)

Starting Salary: $23.36/hour - Up to $38.15 after 8 years of continuous service, as provided for in the applicable collective agreement.

Department: Canadian Airports and Strategy – Customer Experience

Category: Unionized (IAMAW)

Employment Type: Full-time

Shift Premiums: Evening shift – $1.00 per hour worked between 6:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. Night shift – $1.50 per hour worked between 11:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.

No experience required.

What will you do today?

As part of a dynamic team, you will collaborate with other team members to ensure that aircraft loading and unloading are carried out efficiently, ensuring flight safety and punctuality. You may be required to perform duties associated notably with luggage and connecting passenger baggage or to work on the tarmac to execute the numerous tasks necessary for successful operations.

Job Requirements

In our work environment, teamwork is essential to ensure the smooth operation of our aircraft fleet. This is physically demanding work that involves staying in motion airside and in the baggage room. Since our activities take place year-round, you must be ready to work in all weather conditions.

To join us, you must:

  • Hold a valid driver's license – you will need to drive heavy equipment airside;
  • Be able to repeatedly lift loads of 32 kg (70 lb);
  • Pass a medical evaluation, including a drug and alcohol screening test;
  • Be available to attend and successfully complete a paid nine (9) to ten (10) week full-time training program;
  • Be available to work rotating shifts over a 24-hour period (including weekends and statutory holidays);
  • Pay attention to safety and security;
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to work within a team, every day.
  • Show punctuality and reliability to support the overall success of the team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Be able to obtain and maintain any applicable transport security clearance, as well as additional authorizations (please consult the Transport Canada website for more details);
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the country concerned at the time the job offer is made. The search for any work permits/visas or other necessary authorizations is the sole responsibility of candidates for this position.
