Location: Montreal, QC, Canada (on site)

Starting pay: $23.36/hour (full-time)

Service: Canadian Airports & Strategy - Customer Experience

Category: Unionized (IAMAW)

Job type: Full-time

Shift premiums: Evening shift - $0.50 per hour worked between 6:00 PM and 11:00 PM; Night shift - $1.00 per hour worked between 11:00 PM and 6:00 AM.

No prior experience required.

What you will do

As part of a dynamic team, you will work with others to ensure aircraft are loaded and unloaded efficiently, maintaining safety and on-time departures. You may perform related duties including handling baggage and transfer bags for connecting passengers or working on the ramp to carry out the many tasks required for successful operations.

Qualifications

Position requirements

Teamwork is essential. This is physically demanding work that requires remaining active on the ramp and in the baggage hall. Operations run year-round, so you must be prepared to work in all weather conditions.

To join us you must:

  • Hold a valid driver's license (operation of heavy ramp equipment required).
  • Be able to repeatedly lift loads of 32 kg (70 lb).
  • Pass a medical assessment, including drug and alcohol screening.
  • Be available to attend and successfully complete paid, full-time training of nine (9) to ten (10) weeks.
  • Be available to work rotating shifts over a 24-hour period (including weekends and holidays).
  • Demonstrate attention to safety and security.
  • Show strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team daily.
  • Be punctual and reliable to support overall team success in a fast-paced environment.
  • Be able to obtain and maintain any applicable transportation security clearances and additional authorizations as required.
  • Be authorized to work in Canada at the time of the offer; obtaining any required work permits/visas is the candidate's responsibility.
