Responsibilities:
- Perform visual and manual inspections using measurement tools in accordance with engineering standards, processes, and quality assurance directives;
- Verify and test the operation of fittings, mechanical components, fuel circuits, and hydraulic and pneumatic systems;
- Check and inspect the dimensions and proper locations for the installation, mating, or connection of assemblies and systems;
- Inspect the aircraft as a whole, including assembling and securing components and assemblies, installing systems (finishing, workmanship quality, and safety) in accordance with the plans, as well as the operation and safety of all systems to ensure that the aircraft is ready to fly;
- Coordinate with the production, engineering and methods department;
- Monitor pressure tests of aircraft structures;
- Conduct audits;
- Approve work deemed compliant;
- Prepare non-conformity inspection reports and technical anomaly records;
- All other related duties as required by experience and qualifications.
Requirements:
- A DEC or AEC in mechanical engineering, aircraft maintenance, or aeronautical construction AND
- Have a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the assembly field OR;
- A DEP in aerospace mechanical assembly and a minimum of 2 years of experience as a structures assembler OR;
- A DEP in structures assembly and a minimum of 2 years of experience as a structures assembler OR;
- Proven success in a fast-track structure program and a minimum of 2 years of experience as a structures assembler OR;
- A DEC in structural assembly or equivalent and a minimum of 2 years of experience as a structures assembler OR;
- Have a minimum of 3 years of experience as an inspector in the aviation field or in a related assembly field within the last 5 years;
- You show autonomy, initiative and work well in a multidisciplinary team;
- You will be required to work in a confined space on a regular basis;
- You will be required to work at heights up to 30 feet on a regular basis;
- Ability to adopt and maintain different physical positions as job needs require;
- You have good communication skills;
- You have a good command of the French language (spoken and written).
