Specific employment conditions for the position are as follows:

  • Fixed work schedule of 36 hours up to 40 hours.
  • Availability and flexibility required to cover replacement shifts.
  • Possibility of overtime.
  • Shift duration: 12 hours (meal hours worked and paid).
  • Salary: According to experience and training.
  • Uniform provided.

As a security guard at Rheinmetall Canada, your main mandate will be to control access to the building (personnel, visitors, service providers, reserved parking spaces). More specifically, you will have to:

  • Ensure building surveillance (patrols).
  • Write incident reports.
  • Receive and transfer phone calls received on the general line.
  • Control keys and access cards using the computer system.
  • Annotate security logs and forms.
  • Administer first aid (if necessary) or trigger the company's emergency response plan.
  • Perform any other tasks assigned by the security department manager.

Essential requirements for this role:

  • Hold a valid security guard license issued by the Bureau de la sécurité privée (BSP).
  • Hold a workplace first aid certification or be willing to take the training after hiring.
  • Have good oral and written communication skills in French and English*.
  • Be able to work with computer tools such as Outlook, as well as our fire and access management software.
  • Hold a valid driver's license.

*Rheinmetall Canada's clients and partners are mostly from outside Quebec, as is its subsidiary Rheinmetall Provectus which is based in Ontario.

Assets

  • Experience in a military, police, or industrial security environment is an asset.
  • Fire prevention training.
  • First responder training.
  • Hold a firearm possession license or be able to obtain it.
