SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform ground maneuvering for incoming and outgoing aircraft upon landing and takeoff, taking care to immobilize the aircraft and provide valet service and baggage handling as needed;
  • Drive fuel tanker trucks – fueling and fuel orders for aircraft;
  • Loading and receiving fuel in storage facilities;
  • Perform aviation fuel quality checks through various tests and procedures;
  • Record fuel quality and fueling equipment check results on applicable forms;
  • Tow aircraft into and out of hangars, onto the apron, and runways;
  • Provide various types of ground services for aircraft (connect ground power units, eliminate waste and wastewater, supply drinking water, etc.);
  • Ensure readiness and filling of de-icing equipment in case of snow;
  • Maintain professional appearance and conduct in front of clients and colleagues;
  • Ensure cleanliness of all facilities and equipment;
  • Other duties as required.

TRAINING AND SKILLS

  • High school diploma or GED test [General Educational Development], mandatory
  • Valid Class G driver's license with ability to obtain a DZ license;
  • Aviation experience, considered an asset;
  • Team spirit and good communication skills;
  • Basic computer skills;
  • Excellent customer service skills;
  • Mechanical knowledge, considered an asset
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lb (22.5 kg);
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather/environmental conditions.
