MHIRJ is the fusion of two important heritages: Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) and the CRJ Series program. We provide comprehensive solutions in mission-critical operations, engineering and customer support, including maintenance, refurbishment, technical publications, marketing and sales activities for the global regional aircraft industry. We are looking for a Supply Agent to join our commodity team for aircraft interior components!

Role Objective

The Supply Agent plays a key role by ensuring the smooth flow of material in the supply chain, supplier performance, and the optimization of procurement operations. They are responsible for identifying sources of supply, managing the quotation process with suppliers without contracts and associated conditions, expediting critical orders, resolving simple supplier performance issues, and providing support to logistics team members. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, possesses strong organizational skills, high problem-solving capacity, excellent communication skills, and experience working in a fast-paced logistics or procurement environment.

Daily Responsibilities of a Supply Agent:

Supplier Coordination and Order Execution

  • Manage end-to-end the PR to PO placement process for assigned work packages.
  • Manage the end-to-end quotation process for the procurement of non-contracted spare parts, including evaluation of prices and fees, lead times, and minimum order quantity conditions.
  • Contact and coordinate with suppliers to expedite and/or resolve issues related to urgent customer orders and replenishment orders.
  • Address supplier non-compliance with defined deadlines and follow up to resolve delays.
  • Supervise open order status report escalations from the value chain logistics team and resolve exceptions with suppliers.

Problem Solving and Compliance

  • Support and work in constant collaboration with the value chain logistics team to contribute to material flow and problem solving, including managing purchase requisitions and converting them when necessary, tracking purchase orders, delivery schedules, and invoices.
  • Resolve discrepancies between orders, rejections, and claims with the supplier.
  • Support Supplier Request for Evaluation (RFSE) processes for new suppliers to ensure follow-up of First Article Inspections (FAI).

Operational Support and Data Management

  • Maintain communication and alignment with internal stakeholders to ensure the system is up to date to reflect adequate supplier, procurement, and order execution information, including lead times, minimum order quantities, and pricing conditions.
  • Participate in special supplier-related projects, including compliance tracking and reporting.

Here is what is needed to succeed:

  • Degree in supply chain, business management, logistics, or a related field.
  • Required experience, varied, open to profiles with 1 to 3 years in relevant roles.
  • Experience in purchasing, procurement, supplier management, or logistics.
  • Experience in aerospace or manufacturing is an asset. Experience working with ERP systems (SAP or similar) and procurement tools.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft suite (Excel, Outlook). Ability to analyze order status reports, identify gaps, and effectively handle supplier-related issues.
  • Excellent attention to detail, sense of organization, and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities in a constantly evolving environment.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • English is required for the position as the selected person will regularly need to communicate with colleagues, clients, or partners located outside of Quebec.
