Procurement Agent - Interiors

MHIRJ is the merger of two important heritages: Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) and the CRJ Series program. We provide comprehensive mission-critical operations, engineering and customer support solutions, including maintenance, refurbishment, technical publications, marketing and sales activities for the global regional aircraft industry. We are looking for a Procurement Agent to join our commodity team for aircraft interior components!

Position Objective

The Procurement Agent plays a key role in ensuring the smooth flow of material in the supply chain, supplier performance and the optimization of procurement operations. They are responsible for identifying sources of supply, managing the quotation process with suppliers without contracts and associated conditions, expediting critical orders, resolving simple supplier performance issues and providing support to members of the logistics team. The ideal candidate is motivated, possesses strong organizational skills, a high capacity for problem-solving, excellent communication skills and experience working in a fast-paced logistics or procurement environment.

Daily Responsibilities of a Procurement Agent:

Supplier Coordination and Order Execution

• Manage the end-to-end PR to PO process for assigned work packages.
• Manage the end-to-end quotation process for non-contracted spare parts procurement, including evaluation of pricing and fees, lead times, and minimum order quantity conditions.
• Contact suppliers and coordinate with them to expedite and/or resolve issues related to urgent customer orders and replenishment orders.
• Handle non-compliance by suppliers with defined timelines and follow up to resolve delays.
• Supervise escalations of open order reports from the value chain logistics team and resolve exceptions with suppliers.

Problem Solving and Compliance

• Support and work in constant collaboration with the value stream logistics team to contribute to material flow and problem resolution, including managing purchase requisitions and converting them if necessary, tracking purchase orders, delivery schedules, and invoices.
• Resolve discrepancies between orders, rejections, and claims with the supplier.
• Support Supplier Evaluation Request (RFSE) processes for new suppliers to ensure tracking of First Article Inspections (FAI).

Operational Support and Data Management

• Maintain communication and alignment with internal stakeholders to ensure the system is up to date to reflect proper supplier, sourcing, and order execution information, including lead times, minimum order quantities, and pricing terms.
• Participate in special supplier-related projects, including compliance tracking and reporting.

Here is what is needed to succeed:

• Degree in supply chain, business management, logistics, or a related field.
• Required experience, varied, openness to profiles with 1 to 3 years in relevant roles.
• Experience in purchasing, procurement, supplier management, or logistics.
• Experience in aerospace or manufacturing is an asset. Experience working with ERP systems (SAP or similar) and procurement tools.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft suite (Excel, Outlook). Ability to analyze order status reports, identify gaps, and effectively address supplier-related issues.
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational sense, and strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities in a constantly evolving environment.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• English is required for the position as the selected person will regularly communicate with colleagues, clients, or partners located outside of Quebec.
