Main responsibilities
- Revise assembly instructions or manufacturing routings intended for the manufacture or assembly of aircraft components.
- Interpret, verify and approve drawings and other documents from the engineering department.
- Develop assembly and manufacturing strategies for aircraft components.
- Define the tools required for the manufacture or assembly of aircraft components to ensure the required geometric tolerancing.
- Coordinate implementation of engineering changes or assembly strategy changes by working closely with engineering, material logistics, quality and production departments.
- Actively support production by coordinating the resolution of technical issues with other support departments.
- Identify improvements to assembly and manufacturing strategies and participate in research and development projects.
- Support the Central Methods team in carrying out their projects.
- Update the Methods documentation tree, analyze SAP, identify needs and optimize production.
- Eliminate non‑value‑added activities.
- Establish workforce, tooling, assembly, layout planning, ergonomics and health/safety requirements, tools and production equipment according to optimal methodology.
- Participate in the development and optimization of processes related to the methods function.
- Audit certain processes to validate proper functioning and provide recommendations.
- Manage short‑ and/or medium‑term projects of varying complexity.
Qualifications
- College or university diploma in mechanical, avionics, electrical, industrial or electromechanical engineering, aerospace manufacturing or a related discipline.
- Comfortable reading technical drawings, strong 3D visualization and analytical skills.
- Good logical and mechanical aptitude.
- Familiarity with MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with CAD software such as Catia, AutoCAD, Enovia.
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP.
- Excellent team spirit, recognized for perseverance and good judgment.
- Fluent in French (spoken and written) with a good knowledge of English.
