Main Responsibilities

  • Correct assembly binders or manufacturing ranges for the manufacturing or assembly of aircraft components;
  • Interpret, verify, and approve drawings and other documents from the engineering department;
  • Establish assembly and manufacturing strategies for aircraft components;
  • Define the tools necessary for the manufacturing or assembly of aircraft components to ensure the required geometric tolerancing;
  • Harmonize the implementation of engineering or assembly strategy changes by working closely with the engineering, material logistics, quality, and production departments;
  • Take an active part in production support by coordinating the resolution of technical problems with other support services;
  • Be on the lookout for ways to improve assembly and manufacturing strategies and take part in research and development projects;
  • Support the Central Methods team in carrying out their projects;
  • Update the Methods documentation tree, SAP analysis to identify needs and optimize production;
  • Eliminate non-value-added activities;
  • Establish requirements for labor, tooling, assembly, layout plan, ergonomics and health/safety, production tools and equipment according to the optimal methodology;
  • Participate in the development and optimization of processes related to the methods function;
  • Audit certain processes to validate their proper functioning and provide recommendations;
  • Manage short and/or medium duration and complexity projects.

Desired Profile

  • You have a college or university degree in mechanical, avionic, electrical, industrial, or electromechanical engineering, in aeronautical manufacturing, or in a related discipline.
  • You are comfortable reading technical drawings and have good 3D visualization and good analytical skills.
  • You have good logic and a good mechanical mind.
  • You are familiar with Ms Office suite software (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • You are familiar with computer-aided design software such as Catia, AutoCAD, Enovia.
  • You are familiar with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software such as SAP.
  • You have an excellent team spirit, you are recognized for your perseverance and your judgment.
  • You are fluent in French, both spoken and written, and have a good knowledge of English.
