Main responsibilities
- Correct assembly instructions or manufacturing routings intended for the manufacturing or assembly of aircraft components;
- Interpret, verify, and approve drawings and other documents from the engineering department;
- Establish assembly and manufacturing strategies for aircraft components;
- Define the tools required for the manufacturing or assembly of aircraft components to ensure the required geometric tolerancing;
- Harmonize the implementation of engineering changes or assembly strategies by working closely with the engineering, materials logistics, quality, and production departments;
- Take an active part in production support by coordinating the resolution of technical problems with other support departments;
- Be on the lookout for ways to improve assembly and manufacturing strategies and take part in research and development projects;
- Support the Central Methods team in carrying out their projects;
- Update the Methods documentation tree structure, analyze SAP to identify needs and optimize production;
- Eliminate non-value-added activities;
- Establish requirements for labor, tooling, assembly, layout plans, ergonomics and health/safety, tools, and production equipment according to the optimal methodology;
- Participate in the development and optimization of processes related to the methods function;
- Audit certain processes to validate their proper functioning and provide certain recommendations;
- Manage short and/or medium-term projects of varying complexity.
Profile sought
- You have a college or university diploma in mechanical, avionics, electrical, industrial, or electromechanical engineering, aeronautical manufacturing, or a related discipline.
- You are comfortable reading technical drawings, have good 3D visualization, and strong analytical skills.
- You have good logic and a strong mechanical mindset.
- You are familiar with MS Office software (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- You are familiar with computer-aided design software such as Catia, AutoCAD, Enovia.
- You are familiar with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software such as SAP.
- You have an excellent team spirit, and are recognized for your perseverance and judgment.
- You are fluent in French, both orally and in writing, and have a good knowledge of English.
