Job Offer: Industrial Design Technician – Floor Plans
Location: Drummondville (QC)
Duration: 6-month contract
Schedule: Day shift, Monday to Friday
About the position
The incumbent is responsible for the design of floor plans as well as updating associated procedures, in line with evolving standards, design modifications, the integration of new components, and weight variations related to chassis and products.
They also contribute to the development of solutions when discrepancies are found between client needs and possible configurations according to prescribed limits. In case of dispute over the application of standards, they refer to engineering representatives, who are solely authorized to approve the final floor plan.

Main Responsibilities
- Design floor plans in accordance with submissions and orders according to established priorities
- Comply with applicable standards, weight limits, and manufacturing constraints
- Produce floor plans for engineering department tests
- Validate requests with relevant internal departments
- Analyze interferences observed in manufacturing and propose permanent solutions
- Collaborate with internal teams during disputes related to floor plan standards and limits
- Keep files and procedures up to date from the following sources:
- Engineering logbook
- New standards
- Changes (O.S.A.)
- Weight variations
- Intranet tables (seats, lifts, air conditioning)
Required Qualifications
- DEP in industrial design
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in AutoCAD software
- Good plan reading and understanding of assembly concepts in production
- Knowledge of measurement tools
- Good command of Word and Excel
- Knowledge of spoken and written English (asset — mainly English-speaking suppliers)
- Rigor and attention to detail
- Good team spirit
- Ability to manage priorities and stress
