Job Description

Do you have experience in manufacturing or processing, have you worked in transportation or industry and want to evolve and develop new skills? This position is for you!

The A220 commercial aircraft program is looking for 1 manufacturing methods agent for single aircraft parts (RNC) to join our tooling team based in Mirabel (Quebec, Canada), where you will work jointly with the methods departments to meet their requirements.

As part of your position, you will be part of the tooling team and responsible for creating manufacturing ranges and commissioning unique parts necessary for production.

Your role as a methods agent will be to evaluate incoming requests for the manufacture of unique aircraft parts following non-compliance, assess whether internal capacities are sufficient, issue manufacturing ranges, and follow up with internal trades on material processing operations.

Your challenges:

  • Analyze requests and verify if Airbus Canada has internal capability
  • Support the various trades to meet the production schedule
  • Process review and planning assistance
  • Assist the coordinator as needed
  • Master communication with clients (internal and external)

Requirements

Your profile:

  • You hold a diploma (CEGEP, Bachelor's) in engineering or mechanics
  • Experience in creating manufacturing ranges
  • You have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the industrial sector or in a similar position; all combinations of relevant training and experience could be considered
  • Experience in manufacturing and quality processes (aeronautics an asset)
  • Experience in cycle time estimation
  • Knowledge of production processes, bending, machining
  • Knowledge and experience in surface / heat treatments
  • Knowledge of SAP (an asset)
  • Weekend availability occasionally for operational requirements
  • You are recognized for your reliability and autonomy in work, as well as your ability to work in a team
  • You are proficient in French and English, an asset
