The A220 commercial aircraft Program is looking for one Manufacturing Engineering to join our operations support department team based in Mirabel (Qu 00e9bec, Canada).

You will be part of the PREFAL team responsible for producing aircraft components which are delivered to the two FALs of the A220 program, Mirabel and Mobil.

The team organization is established to promote cross-collaboration autonomously, supporting each other and learning collectively.

Your role as a manufacturing engineering, will be to support the autonomous work cells / EAP, and ensure that technical issues are resolved efficiently and quickly in order to minimize impacts to operations.

Your challenges:

  • Implement innovative solutions that will improve the way we do business, and reduce costs;

  • Support projects by having strong influence and facilitating adequate communication with internal stakeholders;

  • Have to investigate and identify risks impacting Prefal;

  • Be a leader of opportunities for continuous improvement and problem solving;

  • Manage priorities in line with objectives;

  • Be responsible to synthesize simple to complex situations in order to present to different management levels;

  • Interpret, verify and recognize drawings and other documents from engineering department;

  • Establish assembly and manufacturing strategies for aircraft components;

  • Define the tools needed to manufacture or assemble aircraft components to ensure the required geometric tolerancing;

  • Harmonize the implementation of engineering or assembly strategy changes by working in close collaboration with the engineering, materials logistics, quality and production;

  • Be on the lookout for ways to improve assembly and manufacturing strategies in addition to taking part in research and development projects.

Your boarding pass:

  • You hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or DEC in Engineering or Aeronautics with a minimum of 5 to 8 years of relevant experience;

  • PMP certification or experience in project management is an asset;

  • You have strong experience in continuous improvement and problem solving;

  • You have the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines;

  • You have an analytical mind and an ability to efficiently solve problems;
