Role and responsibilities
- Participate in new product development activities at the platform level.
- Support aircraft design activities through the BES phases and promote design for manufacturing and design to cost principles.
- Be part of an experienced multidisciplinary team to support project requirements.
- Participate and compile information for operational business case proposals.
- Collaborate closely with the supply chain and industrialization to develop an optimal manufacturing strategy supporting the company's long-term objectives.
- Work closely with the advanced design team to study and optimize aircraft configurations.
- Prepare and participate in feasibility studies and technical benchmarks.
- Generate procurement conditions for major interfaces between structural and system suppliers.
- Participate in advanced manufacturing initiatives supporting new product development.
- Evaluate and propose the best manufacturing and assembly technologies.
- Define and develop the final assembly and integration methodology.
- Review supplier activities to ensure compliance with Client requirements, as well as design methodologies and rules.
- Produce, refine, and document all manufacturing deliverables related to product development.
- Establish a risk management matrix and mitigation plans.
- Perform problem resolution and establish recovery plans to meet deadlines.
- Participate in governance and ensure the necessary visibility to achieve project objectives: content, scope of work, costs, and risks.
- Provide visibility to management as needed.
Desired profile:
- You hold a university degree in manufacturing engineering or aeronautical engineering, or an equivalent college diploma in aircraft manufacturing.
- You have more than 7 years of experience in aerospace manufacturing, as well as knowledge of different disciplines and integration in aircraft manufacturing.
- Experience in new product development is an asset.
- You are a technical person capable of collaborating effectively with different functions to achieve project objectives.
- You have an innovative mind and the technical skills necessary to solve complex problems.
- You have knowledge of engineering and manufacturing processes in the aerospace industry.
- You are results-oriented, enthusiastic, and have a strong work ethic.
- You demonstrate excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- You have strong communication skills and know how to adapt your message to your audience, while promoting harmonious and cohesive teamwork.
- You are proficient in the Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project.
