We currently have several tooling methods agent positions open in the Montreal region.
Role and Responsibilities
As part of your position, you will be called upon to:
- Work in collaboration with the production department, operations support group, and engineering department in our manufacturing centers to analyze tooling requests to find technological solutions that will improve assembly performance;
- Participate, with tool designers, in defining tool concepts;
- Define and validate the process, new manufacturing procedures, and necessary equipment;
- Create manufacturing files for production and quality monitoring;
- Evaluate production costs;
- Update and coordinate schedules and information for various tooling requests / projects;
- Issue order instructions to allow our internal & external suppliers to manufacture parts and requirements according to our designs;
- Management and monitoring of project costs under your management;
- Accompany and support our internal & external suppliers during tooling manufacturing;
- Provide technical support to different production sectors and assist operations during technical problems;
- Implement performance indicators;
- Improve manufacturing processes and procedures.
Profile Sought:
- You hold a college degree (DEC) in mechanical engineering or aeronautics or equivalent experience;
- You have 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment;
- You have a minimum of 2 years of project management experience;
- You know the Catia V5 and/or NX drawing software (an asset);
- You have technical knowledge in mechanical manufacturing and assembly;
- You have good manual experience in the specialized tooling field;
- You master machining techniques (conventional, CNC);
- You master drawing reading and geometric tolerancing;
- You have an analytical mind and a good sense of organization;
- You have excellent communication skills and enjoy teamwork;
- You master the Microsoft Office suite;
- You master the French language and have a knowledge of the English language.
