The Tooling Methods Agent will work closely with the Production, Manufacturing Methods Support, and Engineering departments. The primary responsibility of this role is to analyze tooling requests and develop technological solutions that improve assembly efficiency and performance.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES 🎯
- Update and coordinate schedules and information related to various tooling requests and projects and communicate progress to all stakeholders.
- Participate with tooling designers in defining tooling concepts.
- Issue purchase/work orders to enable internal and external suppliers to manufacture tooling according to the approved designs.
- Manage and monitor project costs.
- Support and coordinate with internal and external suppliers throughout the tooling manufacturing process.
- Inspect tooling to ensure compliance with engineering drawings prior to release to production and support production operations during the first trial of jigs and fixtures.
YOUR PROFILE IS ESSENTIAL TO OUR SUCCESS 💎
- DEC (College Diploma) in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Methods Agent / Manufacturing Methods Technician.
- Knowledge of CATIA V5 and/or Siemens NX is considered an asset.
- Proficiency in French and good working knowledge of English (to communicate with English-speaking suppliers).
- Hands-on experience with specialized tooling.
