The A220 commercial aircraft program is looking for a methods agent to join our support methods team based in Mirabel (Quebec, Canada).
You will be part of the support methods team responsible for coordinating essential actions to resolve major issues impacting the assembly line. The organization of the team is established in such a way as to promote cross-functional collaboration autonomously, supporting each other and learning collectively.
In your role you will have to work closely with other Methods teams to develop and revise working methodologies as well as write work instructions for production. You will have to work closely with engineering, production, logistics and quality functions. Investigating root causes of problems and participating in the analysis of solutions are part of the responsibilities of the function.
In your functions, you will be called upon to:
Implement innovative solutions to improve processes while reducing costs;
Influence and facilitate communications between internal stakeholders;
Be a change agent to promote internal customer service culture;
Be a leader in continuous improvement and problem-solving opportunities, ePPS;
Be responsible for synthesizing simple to complex situations in order to present them to different levels of assembly management or manufacturing range intended for the manufacture or assembly of aircraft components;
Interpreting, verifying and approving drawings and other documents from the engineering department;
Establish assembly and manufacturing strategies for aircraft components;
Define the tools necessary for the manufacture or assembly of aircraft components to ensure the required geometric tolerance;
Harmonize the implementation of engineering changes or assembly strategy by working closely with engineering, material logistics, quality and production departments and other methods functions of the organization;
Be on the lookout for ways to improve assembly and manufacturing strategies in addition to taking part in research and development projects.
Your profile:
You hold a college diploma (DEC / AEC) and/or university degree in mechanical, industrial engineering or aeronautical manufacturing or in a related discipline;
You have at least 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in the manufacturing environment;
You have knowledge of interior finishing (an asset);
You have a general knowledge of the dependencies between the different positions of the aeronautical manufacturing system;
You hold a detailed knowledge of planning, logistics, quality and production processes,
You demonstrate strong leadership, are able to question processes, but also a willingness to grow your colleagues and other functions.
