You have method experience ideally in aeronautics, you have worked as a coordinator and you want to evolve and develop new skills? This position is for you!

The A220 commercial aircraft program is looking for a methods agent to join our support methods team based in Mirabel (Quebec, Canada).

You will be part of the support methods team responsible for coordinating essential actions to resolve major issues impacting the assembly line. The team's organization is established in a way to promote cross-functional collaboration autonomously, supporting each other and learning collectively.

In your role you will have to work closely with the other Methods teams to develop and revise work methodologies as well as write work instructions for production. You will have to work in close collaboration with the engineering, production, logistics and quality functions. Investigating root causes of problems and participating in the analysis of solutions are part of the responsibilities of the function.

In your duties, you will be called upon to:

  • Implement innovative solutions to improve processes while reducing costs;

  • Influence and facilitate communications between internal stakeholders;

  • Be a change agent to promote the internal customer service culture;

  • Be a leader in continuous improvement and problem-solving opportunities, ePPS;

  • Be responsible for synthesizing simple to complex situations in order to present them to different levels of assembly management or manufacturing range intended for the manufacture or assembly of aircraft components;

  • Interpet, verify and approve drawings and other documents from the engineering department;

  • Establish assembly and manufacturing strategies for aircraft components;

  • Define the tools necessary for the manufacture or assembly of aircraft components to ensure the required geometric tolerancing;

  • Harmonize the implementation of engineering changes or assembly strategy by working in close collaboration with the engineering, material logistics, quality and production departments and other methods functions of the organization;

  • Be on the lookout for ways to improve assembly and manufacturing strategies in addition to taking part in research and development projects.
