Responsibilities:
- Implement innovative solutions to improve processes while reducing costs;
- Influence and facilitate communications between internal stakeholders;
- Be an agent of change to promote the internal customer service culture;
- Be a leader in continuous improvement and problem-solving opportunities, ePPS;
- Be responsible for synthesizing simple to complex situations to present them at different levels of assembly management or manufacturing range intended for the manufacture or assembly of aircraft components;
- Interpret, verify, and approve drawings and other documents from the engineering department;
- Establish assembly and manufacturing strategies for aircraft components;
- Define the tools necessary for the manufacture or assembly of aircraft components to ensure the required geometric tolerancing;
- Harmonize the implementation of engineering changes or assembly strategies by working closely with engineering, material logistics, quality, production, and other methods functions within the organization;
- Be on the lookout for ways to improve assembly and manufacturing strategies in addition to participating in research and development projects.
Desired Profile
- You hold a college degree (DEC / AEC) and/or university degree in mechanical, industrial, or aeronautical manufacturing engineering or a related discipline;
- You have at least 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment;
- You have knowledge of interior finishing (an asset);
- You have general knowledge of the dependencies between the different positions in the aeronautical manufacturing system;
- You have detailed knowledge of planning, logistics, quality, and production processes;
- You demonstrate strong leadership, are capable of questioning processes, and also have a desire to help your colleagues and other functions grow.
