What are your contributions to the team?
- In addition to duties of lower WWP/Material Logistics/Buyer Procurement classification; duties include all planning and purchasing functions related to the Material group:
- Establishes plant-wide manpower forecasts based on the strategic plan and the Master Production Schedules;
- Builds “what if” plans from various hypothetical scenario requests from senior management; builds production/manufacturing plans; builds manpower and material budgets and forecasts for each program
- Assists management in determining inventory policies and build policies.
- Overseas and co-ordinates Material Logistics actions and may assign, co-ordinate and check the work of Material Logistics agents. Action R.C.C.A. (root cause and corrective action) where required to maintain a customer focus while managing T.A.C. (total acquisition and lifetime costs).
- Due to the nature of this position, travel and overtime maybe required and presenting at senior management reviews.
How to thrive in this role?
- Requires a post-secondary Degree/Diploma in Materials Management, Business Management, Operations Management or equivalent. APICS certification, (C.P.I.M.) PMAC certification is preferred and 5 years’ experience in a computerized manufacturing environment.
- Must have excellent organization, administrative and communication skills, the ability to effectively represent the department and the ability to work under minimal supervision.
- Must also be able to perform in a multi-functional, cross-designated organization.
