The Sales Support Agent will primarily assist travel agents based in Latin America in selling Air Canada flights to their customers, especially in Mexico. Our distribution partners, the agents, are mainly looking for advice regarding flight schedules, products, fares, ticketing procedures or group offers. Sales support agents play a key role in promoting our products and services and are the front-line ambassadors of Air Canada. The incumbent will assist our key account managers and country manager in certain commercial activities.
Responsibilities
- Assist our Key Account Agents and our customers in Latin America, with a particular focus on Mexico.
- Provide support to groupers, online travel agencies, travel management companies and tour operators.
- Manage bookings and ticketing for groups.
- Process passenger records and individual tickets.
- Stay abreast of Air Canada rules and ticket policies.
- Review and distribute the Interline Flash newsletter.
- Prepare and announce our promotional fares.
- Conduct benchmark analyses with other carriers.
- Prepare sales reports from data from various sources.
- Monitor figures and sales statistics analysis.
- Prepare and update product presentations for the Sales team.
- Provide figures and data to support review meetings and strategic sales decisions.
- Assist the Sales team during outside activities (e.g., tours, trade shows and product presentations), as well as managing daily office operations.
- Coordinate sales activities.
- Establish quotes with suppliers regarding material intended for the Sales Department.
- Process and follow up on various invoices submitted to Air Canada by suppliers.
- Perform tasks related to the Billing and Settlement Plan, ensuring the management of authority and verification of invoices.
Qualifications
- Diploma or training in tourism, marketing or administration.
- Experience in commercial support, reservations and ticketing, preferably within an airline or the tourism industry.
- Good knowledge of Amadeus.
- Excellent knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office suite.
- Excellent work ethic and positive teamwork spirit.
- Good customer orientation.
- Adaptability and flexibility.

- Good analytical mind.
- Strong sense of organization.
- Talent for writing.
- Ability to work full-time.
- Availability to travel and work nights, weekends and holidays as needed.

Conditions of Employment:
Candidates must be eligible to work in the country concerned at the time a job offer is presented and are responsible for obtaining work permits, visas or other necessary authorizations. Proof of eligibility must be provided prior to the start date.
Language Requirements
Fluency in English and Spanish, orally and in writing. Knowledge of French and other languages, an asset.
