Role and Responsibilities

  • Participate in new product development activities at the platform level.
  • Support aircraft design activities through BES phases and promote design for manufacturing and cost-optimized design principles.
  • Be part of an experienced multidisciplinary team to support project requirements.
  • Participate and compile information for operational business case proposals.
  • Work closely with supply chain and industrialization to develop an optimal manufacturing strategy supporting the company's long-term goals.
  • Work closely with the advanced design team to study and optimize aircraft configurations.
  • Prepare and participate in feasibility studies and technical benchmarking analyses.
  • Generate supply conditions for major interfaces between structural and systems suppliers.
  • Participate in advanced manufacturing initiatives supporting new product development.
  • Evaluate and propose the best manufacturing and assembly technologies.
  • Define and develop final assembly and integration methodology.
  • Review supplier activities to ensure compliance with Client requirements as well as design methodologies and rules.
  • Produce, refine, and document all manufacturing deliverables related to product development.
  • Establish a risk management matrix and mitigation plans.
  • Perform problem-solving and establish recovery plans to meet deadlines.
  • Participate in governance and ensure necessary visibility for achieving project objectives: content, scope of work, costs, and risks.
  • Provide visibility to management as needed.

Profile Sought:

  • You hold a university degree in manufacturing engineering or aeronautical engineering, or an equivalent college diploma in aircraft manufacturing.
  • You possess more than 7 years of experience in aerospace manufacturing as well as knowledge of the various disciplines and integration in aircraft manufacturing.
  • Experience in new product development is an asset.
  • You are a technical person capable of collaborating effectively with various functions to achieve project objectives.
  • You have an innovative spirit and the technical skills necessary to solve complex problems.
  • You possess knowledge of engineering and manufacturing processes in the aerospace industry.
  • You are results-oriented, enthusiastic, and endowed with a solid work ethic.
  • You demonstrate excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • You possess solid communication skills and know how to adapt your message according to your audience, while fostering harmonious and cohesive teamwork.
  • You master the Microsoft Office suite, notably Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project.
