Role and Responsibilities
- Participate in platform-level new product development activities.
- Support aircraft design activities through BES phases and promote Design for Manufacturing and Design for Cost principles.
- Be part of an experienced multidisciplinary team to support project requirements.
- Participate in and compile information for operational business case proposals.
- Work closely with the supply chain and industrialization to develop an optimal manufacturing strategy supporting the company's long-term objectives.
- Work closely with the advanced design team to study and optimize aircraft configurations.
- Prepare and participate in feasibility studies and technical benchmarking analyses.
- Generate supply conditions for major interfaces between structure and systems suppliers.
- Participate in advanced manufacturing initiatives supporting new product development.
- Evaluate and propose the best manufacturing and assembly technologies.
- Define and develop final assembly and integration methodology.
- Review supplier activities to ensure compliance with Client requirements as well as design methodologies and rules.
- Produce, refine, and document all manufacturing deliverables related to product development.
- Establish a risk management matrix and mitigation plans.
- Perform problem-solving and establish recovery plans to meet deadlines.
- Participate in governance and ensure necessary visibility for achieving project objectives: content, scope of work, costs, and risks.
- Provide visibility to management as needed.
Profile Sought
- You hold a university degree in manufacturing or aeronautical engineering, or an equivalent college diploma in aircraft manufacturing.
- You have more than 7 years of experience in aerospace manufacturing as well as knowledge of various disciplines and integration in aircraft manufacturing.
- Experience in new product development is an asset.
- You are a technical person capable of collaborating effectively with various functions to achieve project objectives.
- You have an innovative spirit and the technical skills necessary to solve complex problems.
- You possess knowledge of engineering and manufacturing processes in the aerospace industry.
- You are results-oriented, enthusiastic, and endowed with a solid work ethic.
- You demonstrate excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- You possess strong communication skills and know how to adapt your message according to your audience, while fostering harmonious and cohesive teamwork.
- You master the Microsoft Office suite, notably Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project.
