Job Description:

We are supporting our client, a recognized player in the manufacturing sector, in their search for a Machinist Helper – Labourer.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the assembly of “fixtures” according to operation manuals.
• Control the good condition of the part during its assembly.
• Ensure the daily maintenance sheet is completed and oil is filled, then clean filters according to level 1 maintenance sheet.
• Fill machines with cutting oil.
• Update the production list (work progress) located on the machine.
• Load, unload and transport parts and “fixtures” to designated locations.
• Fill and empty chip containers.
• Ensure the cleanliness of the workstation, the machine, and the maintenance of tools.
• Transmit instructions and work progress status to the next shift (message in the log-book).
• Inform their supervisor of any anomaly or problem likely to hinder the smooth running of production.
• Carry out tasks in compliance with the company's vision, doctrine and code of ethics.
• Apply and comply with safety rules at all times.
• Apply and comply with the rules of our policy and our quality system.
• All other related tasks.

Desired Profile:

• Ability to assemble simple and complex parts.
• Understanding of work procedures.
• Ability to perform tasks in a productive and competitive time with minimum supervision.
• Forklift and overhead crane competency card required.
• Meticulousness and autonomy.
• Be organized.
• Ability to work in a team.
• Ability to work under pressure while meeting tight deadlines.
• Good physical condition.
• Sense of organization and priorities.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficiency in French and English, both oral and written.
