Safran Landing Systems is a world leader in landing and braking systems for aircraft. The Mirabel plant is dedicated to manufacturing major landing gear components for the Airbus A320, A330 and A350 models and the Boeing 787. The facility features state-of-the-art equipment for machining, polishing and special processes, including heat treatment, shot blasting and surface treatments.
You will use pneumatic hand tools or semi-automatic equipment to grind the attachment points of main landing gear components according to specifications. This operation requires a high level of precision to create the exact dimensions of the bushings that will later be installed to accommodate other mechanical parts.
Your responsibilities will also include:
- inspecting parts using measuring instruments to ensure conformance to specifications
- machining using a lathe and installing bushings
- applying sealant
- completing the appropriate quality assurance documentation
- contributing to continuous improvement of operations and to achieving safety, quality, cost and on-time delivery objectives

Evening shift: Monday to Thursday, 2:20 PM to 12:20 AM
Note: Depending on collective agreement rules, the position may change shifts (day, night or weekend).
- Compensation for this position starts between $26.91 and $36.59 per hour, depending on skills, experience and qualifications. With internal training and progression, the hourly rate can increase up to a maximum of $40.62.
- Shift premium of $1.30/hr

About you (requirements)
- DEP in aircraft structures assembly or a DES (equivalency certificate not accepted) with relevant experience
- Experience working with pneumatic hand tools in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in manual grinding or aircraft assembly is an asset
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and use measuring instruments (calipers and micrometers)
- Good manual dexterity
