Safran Landing Systems is a global leader in landing and braking systems for aircraft. The Mirabel plant is dedicated to manufacturing major landing gear components for Airbus A320, A330 and A350 models, and the Boeing 787. The site features advanced equipment for machining, polishing and special processes such as heat treatment, shot peening and surface treatments.
Using pneumatic hand tools or semi-automatic equipment, you will perform finishing/lapping of attachment points on main landing gear components according to specifications. This operation requires a high level of precision to create the exact dimensions of the bushings that will later receive other mechanical parts.
Responsibilities
- Inspect parts using measuring instruments to ensure compliance with specifications
- Machine parts using a lathe and install bushings
- Apply sealant
- Complete the appropriate quality assurance documentation
- Contribute to continuous improvement of operations and achievement of safety, quality, cost and on-time delivery objectives
Benefits
Weekend day shift: Friday 14:10–20:10, Saturday 06:20–18:20, Sunday 06:00–18:00.
Note: Depending on collective agreement rules, the position's shift may change (day, night or evening).
- Hourly pay starting between CAD 26.91 and CAD 36.59 depending on skills and experience; with internal training and skill progression hourly pay can increase up to CAD 40.62

Candidate profile
- DEP in aircraft structure assembly or DES (equivalence certificates not accepted) with relevant experience
- Experience working with pneumatic tools in a manufacturing environment
- Manual lapping or aircraft assembly experience: an asset
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and use measuring instruments (calipers and micrometers)
- Good manual dexterity
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to work with care and precision
- Rigour, organizational skills and priority management
- Autonomy, teamwork and communication skills
