Reporting to the Director, Commercial Analytics and Business Intelligence, the Advanced Commercial Analytics Analyst is responsible for providing business insights, analytical solutions, forecasting support, and generative AI applications that enable data-driven decision-making within the Commercial Affairs organization.
The incumbent will work in close collaboration with Revenue Management, Network Planning, Sales, Revenue Planning, and other commercial stakeholders to analyze performance, identify opportunities, develop reporting and forecasting solutions, and support strategic initiatives. They will also contribute to the design, development, testing, and adoption of AI-powered solutions, notably Snowflake Cortex agents and Microsoft Copilot experiences, to enhance self-service analytics and team productivity.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct advanced analyses of commercial performance, customer behavior, revenue trends, and market dynamics to generate actionable business intelligence.
- Collaborate with Revenue Management, Network Planning, Sales, Revenue Planning, and other stakeholders to understand business issues and translate them into analytical solutions.
- Support the development, improvement, and validation of forecasting models, predictive models, and decision-support models.
- Evaluate and leverage multiple commercial data sources to identify opportunities, assess business performance, and support strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate with commercial stakeholders to identify recurring business issues, analysis needs, and automation opportunities.
- Design, develop, test, and improve AI-powered solutions, notably Snowflake Cortex agents, Microsoft Copilot experiences, and other generative AI applications.
- Support the development of AI agent workflows by helping define business requirements, determine relevant data sources, and validate results with end users.
- Contribute to the identification, design, and optimization of analytical and operational workflows that can be simplified through analytics and AI solutions.
- Communicate findings and recommendations through presentations and data storytelling that foster data-driven decision-making, and respond to ad-hoc analysis requests from Commercial Affairs stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in a quantitative field such as statistics, mathematics, data science, computer science, operations research, economics, engineering, business intelligence, or a related discipline. Strong business acumen is essential.
- At least one to two years of experience in analytics, data science, revenue management, business strategy, business intelligence, or a related quantitative field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to draw conclusions and validate results through critical thinking.
- In-depth knowledge of SQL and experience working with large, complex datasets.
- Ability to translate business questions into analytical approaches and actionable recommendations.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively present insights and tell a compelling story using data.
- Experience with Python, Snowflake, or similar analytical platforms is an asset.
- Interest in generative AI technologies and experience with Microsoft Copilot, Snowflake Cortex, AI agents, or similar technologies is an asset.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
- Interest in the aviation industry and in acquiring knowledge of Revenue Management, Network Planning, Sales, and other commercial functions.
- Proven punctuality and reliability to support the overall success of the team in a fast-paced environment.
