We provide comprehensive operational, engineering, and customer support solutions, including maintenance, refurbishment, technical publications, marketing, and sales activities for the global regional aircraft industry. We are currently looking for a Business Analyst, BPM Value Chain to join our team!
Position Summary
The Business Analyst plays a key role in data management, process management, governance, and optimization within the procurement and supply chain functions. This person ensures compliance with policies and performance indicators, promotes operational excellence and continuous improvement, and supports the evolution of systems to ensure their alignment with business objectives.
The ideal candidate has solid experience in data analytics, process optimization, and procurement systems.
Daily Responsibilities
Data Management and Compliance
- Maintain and update databases and data systems to ensure accuracy and integrity, particularly regarding prices, commercial terms, and procurement lead times.
- Analyze data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement, while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Support the annual catalog management and price indexing process.
Process Improvement and Operational Excellence
- Design, maintain, and deploy cross-functional supply chain processes covering several value chains:
- End-to-end operational logistics processes (from purchase request to invoicing).
- Backlog management and bid processes.
- Claims, amendments, and strategic procurement processes.
- Supplier performance management processes.
- Cost savings, cost avoidance, and budget management processes.
- Lead operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives, including the development and updating of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices.
- Develop and maintain models, templates, reference guides, and knowledge management tools.
- Provide onboarding kits, training materials, a documentation repository, and training programs to support the different value chains.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to design and implement solutions that meet business needs while aligning with company objectives.
Governance and Reporting
- Extract, analyze, and prepare reports and presentations to support governance activities within the supply chain organization and other departments.
- Coordinate and lead cross-functional governance activities related to:
- Performance of logistics and procurement activities.
- Monthly sales and target monitoring.
- Contractual coverage and compliance with procurement agreements.
- Evolution of cost savings, cost avoidance, and risks.
- Delay reduction and recovery plans applicable to all value chains.
- Coordinate budget activities with other value chains, monitor monthly results, and harmonize objectives specific to each sector.
- Conduct audits for compliance with processes, policies, and data requirements, and implement necessary corrective actions.
- Support the supply chain organization in carrying out cross-functional projects and initiatives.
Systems and Tools Management
- Maintain and optimize supply chain-related tools, including SAP S/4HANA (Procure-to-Pay module), the supplier portal, and internal reporting tools.
- Act as Business Process Owner (BPO) to the IT department and relevant partners for supply chain-related processes.
- Participate in the implementation of new tools: gather business needs, develop business cases, support solution selection, deployment, and maintenance.
- Develop automated reports and scripts based on a defined methodology to promote frequent and efficient updates.
- Diagnose system-related issues, contribute to the change roadmap, perform necessary tests, and coordinate deployment with end-users.
Here's what it takes to succeed:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Data Analytics, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of six (6) years of experience in analytics, business analysis, procurement, or supply chain management.
- Proficiency in SAP S/4HANA (P2P) as well as data visualization and reporting tools (Power BI, Visio).
- General programming knowledge is an asset, particularly in Python and SQL, as well as with tools such as Git and Azure.
- Knowledge of Pandas, Bokeh, Flask, and Werkzeug libraries is considered an asset.
- Experience in process mapping and improvement.
- Excellent data analysis skills, with great rigor in collecting, organizing, and interpreting information.
- Experience in data management, reporting, and compliance monitoring.
- Ability to present information clearly and relevantly to support decision-making.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience in cross-functional environments.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve system and process related issues.
- Ability to work autonomously when required.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- English is required for the position as the selected person will regularly communicate with colleagues, clients or partners located outside Quebec.
